Tiefling Sorceress WIP

This is the B&W under-painting for the fourth piece in the fantasy series I am currently working on: a mystical and magical tiefling sorceress. For this process I really wanted the B&W under-painting to be very tight, so that there is less rendering to do in the coloring process. Though I left out the rendering of the magical effects and pattern on the cape till the coloring stage; it seemed like it would make more sense that way. The community over at WIP have been a great help thus far in making this piece the best it can be. WIP is a great podcast, blog, and online artist community that I highly recommend. It has a nice small active community and the podcast is entertaining, informative, and focuses on art, gaming, and life as an artist.

As for this piece the next step will be to make some small color comps to test out different color schemes and then colorizing the B&W image begins. As always any feedback or critiques to help me push this piece further would be most appreciated.

Hope you all have a great week.
